Sorry about the lack of posts recently: Since fixing my laptop I have discovered that the wireless card doesn't work (no idea why). So in order to access the internet, I have to cram myself into a tiny uncomfortable space near the router, with a cable. Guess that means I'm not connecting as much.

Downtime and Problems

Well, a few days ago I turned on my laptop... and it didn't work. Basically, I had a headcrash, which was a bummer.
Turns out, I needed to actually buy a 2.5 to 3.5 inch IDE cable to plug it into my pc so i could scandisk it, whoch found 4 bad sectors.
Amazingly, rewriting the indexes and cleaning the sys was all it took to make it boot properly, and it now works well, with a few problems. The wireless card doesn't seem to work, and shutdown is very slow. At least I don't have to rewrite my huge essays now though.

Why doesn't this work? It is a code fragment for a style file for MSE, supposedly to select the font based on a boolean value defined elsewhere, but for some reason, doesn't work... Grrr.
Java is much easier than this. I just wrote an application that converts numbers from one radix to another, very handy. It can be found here.

My friend, Jon, is playing Dawn of War: Dark Crusade right next to me, the bastard :P
I think my parents bought it for me for my birthday, soon, so I shouldn't really buy it for myself. Grr.
On other notes, i've hit a bit of a wall on Ancient Worlds (my current Magic Set Editor set, download it from the Files link on the right: it uses FPM templates though, so make sure you download them).
I think it is due to the lack of good art. PBG has a good art thread on mthsalvation, and it is very addictive searching through it.
Must find art...

All of last night, Halloween, and so far all today, my internet connection at home has been broken :(
Damn NTL...
Anyway, so i'm writing this from the connection at college.
This also meant that I couldn't post my Halloween special card for the pokecommunity fake cards forum. :(
I will post it here when the conection gets back up.
